Before quarantine, my dad gave me this hand sanitizer. It is around 90% alchohol and guaranteed to kill any germs that get in my way. I organized the picture as a tilt-up as you look at the bottom to the top, and I don't have anything on the sides to distract from the focus of the image. There is really nothing I could've changed to make this better.
RULE OF THIRDS i made my two hands in one third of the picture each, and my body in one third. The fisheye represents my being trapped in my room for hours on end with nothing but my own musings to give me company. I think my image is successful in conveying my isolated nature as shown in the photo. I actually could've made it black and white to give it more of a lonely vibe.
POST PRODUCTION PIXLR EDITING i made this little pepper in the back be the only real thing in color in this picture. I wanted it to be red so that it is the only real vibrant color in the picture.
HIERARCHY. I wanted the first thing to look at to be the frankenstein in front, and then moving on to the zombies in the back. I made sure that it all moved from left to right in the way that a person prefers to "read" his pictures. I am actually not really communicating much of anything, I guess the viewer could decide what I am trying to communicate, like maybe "family" would be one. Or stepping on others to get ahead in life cause of the way that the frankenstein is the first you look at. He is the most successful and it goes down by classes. I think it was pretty successful in interpreting what the assignment given to me was.
SHADOWS In this image, there is peppers that I found in my backyard (because we have some random pepper trees back there) and In the morning (though it doesn't feel like it) I took this photo. I think all the little leaves and the peppers in the picture really cast some hard shadows. I am trying to just adjust the viewers eye to the pepper, and it has a message of loneliness, as it is the one real thing you look at. I wouldn't make any changes unless someone told me to.
ALBUM COVER This is my album cover for the song "Sleeping Powder" by the Gorillaz. The song is mainly about the character 2D from the Gorillaz taking psychedelics, so that is the reason he is holding a pill. The reason I have chosen to erase my head is because of the quote of "feed your head" and the surrounding madness is the filling.
Zen is kicked by Paul (Stop Motion Image 1)
In this image, one of me is about to kick the other me. This image has no emotional impact on me whatsoever but it does symbolize the underworld as a jungle as shown by the large amounts of bluish green in the image. Before I get into how the work is organized, the way I made this image is I took a picture of me sitting and then a picture of me about to kick nothing, and then I combined the two images in pixlr. Tho I didn't see the image of me laying down, I did compensate for this by erasing the majority of the layer of me raising my foot up in order to see the bottom layer. I then blurred the substances surrounding the image to allow the looker to better focus in on the center of the image. That could also be considered a way that i have organized my work. I did talk about the message earlier which is probably a message someone won't pick up on straight off the bat which could be something I could have improved upon. I also could've put more effort into centering the image more since the focal point is my foot.

Floating in the air (Stop MotionImage 2)
In this image, I was running in the backyard only to be caught floating in the air. How strange. Just like the last image, this image is blurred to allow focus on the center piece, being me floating. The rule of thirds works really nicely in this image, probably the best out of my three submissions though the one above was a pretty good test. Their is no real message here, maybe it could be something about not knowing where you are going so you end up "floating" to your destination. I think this picture is very good at practical aspects of photography work but not the story aspect of photography, unless of course, somebody decided to give it a story that means something to them.
Magic Orb (Image 3)
This picture is probably my least favorite of all the images. It depicts me, shrouded in darkness, throwing a christmas ornament upwards. Its all message and barely any practicality. It makes use of the rule of thirds quite well though. The message conveyed is one about people in isolation breaking out of there shell (depicted by the titled magic orb) into the light, masking their true identity to fit in with the world (depicted by the shadow of the magic orb). I did some blurring and toned down the vibrance to allow the message to be clearer but I definitely could've done better. The only thing stopping me were the many amounts of boxes in my backyard so my camera placement was limited. A better image could've been one up close, sliced in half diagonally by the darkness with the hand throwing the ball upwards. The message is the best thing about this like I have said several times here, but I don't like looking at it. Out of the 10 pictures, I really liked this one cause I wanted to display a specific message (making use of the given 2:00 winter sunlight) and it thus succeeds in that way.
