Compositing
For this image, I took two pictures. The first was a picture of a tree which I used for the background and the other was a picture of a friend of mine drawing. For the duck head I used a picture of a duck that I found upon googling images of ducks. I am not positive that the image is copyright free, so here is the link to the image and the page that it supports: https://www.countryliving.com/uk/wildlife/farming/how-to/a232/keeping-ducks/
Originally the idea was to have my friend on the branch drawing and looking down but his hair was a little difficult to edit so I decided to replace it with the head of a duck. In this case, it makes him look kind of like some sort of anthropomorphic bird sitting on the branch. The original idea was supposed to be a tribute to those images that you see in every single "how to draw fantasy" books where they have the page with fairies. Every single page has at least a couple where a fairy is sitting on the edge of a branch. However with the addition of the duck head the idea in my mind for this image was changed. Now it's not much to do with fairies, but having to do with humanizing birds. It seems like they sit on branches or telephone lines doing nothing, but I feel like they could be doing something or at least planning to do something. They do have brains.
