Documentary Picture Series W/3 Lenses
For this assignment, we were prompted with observing a happening that we would then document by taking a series of pictures while using three different lenses. For the first three images I used a 50mm lens and for the three after that I used a 24mm. For the remaining two images, I used a 70mm. For all of the images in regards to my internal settings, my F-stop was set to F7.1, my ISO at 100, and my shutter speed at 320.
Here, I observe students practicing and playing basketball on the basketball courts. What connects them is the people involved first being the middle schoolers on the left in the first picture with the entrance of Nick and another middle schooler in the second. The group at that point becomes bigger as the peak of the practice becomes an all out brawl. However, by the time I returned with the final lens, Nick was alone until he was joined by two others. But then Nick left and the kid in the last picture was the last to be there. This all happened at the same hoop.
