The JZ-Verse is a term for the body of work created by Barkley Dubis and Jayden Pettit since they met in 2015 in San Diego, California. Together they have created over 100 superheroes plus story lines that outnumber them, pairing these elements with the themes of isolation and existentialism, while also taking place in alternative realities that reverse the outcomes of various historical wars. The term was originally supposed to be a name for a specific multimedia franchise surrounding these superheroes but as the duo evolved it came to represent the body of work that represents their collaborations. Such examples of their collaborations include The Normal Life and The New Deal.
