This photo here is a portrait of my dad. I took this picture during the nighttime and positioned my dad in front of the fence just to the side of our house. I had him hold a light that lit him from underneath so as to make his face more haunting and to create more of a "floating head" kind of image. This here is the unedited version of the image.
To summarize who my father is, he is a piano teacher, organist, freelance musician, and pianist-for-hire. In the present moment, he is a church organist and piano teacher (which is where we get the prime majority of our income) though his career extends to playing in bands as well, which he has done all of his life. He's dedicated his life to music and is still pursuing the art of music, attending online classes offered by the Berkelee College of Music. He is also a member of the MTAC, the Music Teachers Association of California.

This here is the final edited portrait. To achieve this result, I turned up the contrast and turned down some of the mid range levels to create more of a contrast.
